 Privacy Policy for PDF App for Adobe PDF Editor

This Privacy Policy explains how PDF App for Adobe PDF Editor ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the macOS application. The App is published by Izhar Ullah and uses the bundle identifier com.izharapps.imagetopdf.wordpdf.


If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.


1. Information We Collect


The App is designed to collect only the information needed to provide PDF conversion, compression, subscription, and app preference features.


The App may handle the following types of information:


- Files you choose to convert, compress, or process.

- File metadata needed to show recent history, such as file name, conversion type, file size, output path, date created, and conversion status.

- App preferences stored locally, such as theme, output folder, conversion options, duplicate file behavior, and free usage count.

- Subscription and purchase status handled through RevenueCat and Apple.

- Technical information generated by third-party services used to process conversions and subscriptions.

- Email address only if you contact us directly for support.


2. File Processing


When you choose a file for conversion or compression, the App uploads the selected file to CloudConvert so the requested conversion or compression can be performed. The converted output is then downloaded back to your selected output folder on your Mac.


We do not use your uploaded files for advertising, profiling, resale, or unrelated purposes. Files are processed only to provide the conversion or compression feature requested by you.


CloudConvert states that uploaded files are transferred over encrypted connections and are temporarily stored only for processing. CloudConvert's own privacy and retention practices apply to data processed by CloudConvert.


3. Local Data Stored on Your Device


The App stores some data locally on your Mac to make the app work properly and remember your choices. This may include:


- Recent conversion history.

- Favorite tools.

- Output folder preferences.

- Theme and appearance settings.

- Conversion preferences.

- Subscription entitlement cache.

- Free conversion usage count.


This local data is stored on your device using local storage mechanisms such as GetStorage and SharedPreferences. It is not uploaded to our server by the App.


4. Subscriptions and Purchases


The App uses RevenueCat to manage subscription products, purchase status, restore purchases, and premium entitlement access.


RevenueCat may process purchase-related identifiers and subscription status information on our behalf. Apple may also process payment and App Store account information when you purchase or restore a subscription. We do not receive your full payment card details.


The App currently uses the entitlement named "Unlimited access" to determine whether premium access is active.


5. Free Usage Limit


Non-premium users may receive a limited number of free conversions. The App stores the number of free conversions used locally on your device. After the free limit is used, the App may show the subscription screen unless an active premium subscription is detected.


6. How We Use Information


We use information only for the following purposes:


- To convert, compress, and export your selected files.

- To save and display recent conversion history.

- To remember your app settings and preferences.

- To manage free usage limits.

- To verify premium subscription access.

- To restore previous purchases.

- To respond to support requests.

- To detect and troubleshoot technical issues.


7. Information Sharing


We do not sell your personal information.


Information may be shared with third-party service providers only when needed to operate the App:


- CloudConvert: used for file conversion and compression processing.

- RevenueCat: used for subscription and entitlement management.

- Apple: used for App Store purchases, subscriptions, and restore purchases.


These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and service terms.


8. Data Retention


Files selected for conversion are handled by CloudConvert for temporary processing according to CloudConvert's retention practices.


Local app data, such as recent history, preferences, and free usage count, remains on your device unless you clear it in the App, reset the App's local data, or uninstall the App.


Support emails are retained only as long as needed to respond to your request and maintain necessary business records.


9. Security


We use third-party services that support encrypted transmission for file processing and purchase management. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You should avoid uploading files that contain highly sensitive information unless you are comfortable with third-party cloud processing.


10. Children's Privacy


The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.


11. Your Choices


You may:


- Choose which files to process.

- Clear recent conversion history inside the App.

- Change output and conversion preferences inside Settings.

- Stop using the App at any time.

- Contact us to request help with privacy questions.

- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.


12. International Processing


The App may use third-party providers that process information in countries other than your own. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed where these service providers operate.


13. Changes to This Privacy Policy


We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
